OUR PERFORMANCE LABRADORS

U-AGII U-CD Chessie's Life O'Reilly UD, NA, CGC, TDI
(10/31/88 to 12/16/03)
We would not be where we are today in the performance events without the great start our Reilly gave us. We miss our sweet boy very much.

"And a Title says that you loved your dog, that you loved to spend time with him because he was a good dog, and that you believed in him enough to give him yet another chance when he failed, and that in the end your faith was justified. A Title proves that your dog inspired you to have the special relationship enjoyed by so few; that in a world of disposable creatures, this dog with a Title was greatly loved, and loved greatly in return." CH Honorbright Legend of DMarsh TD, JH, RN, WC (Nessie)
Nessie is our first champion and has shown that pretty labs aren't necessarily just couch potatoes. We own Nessie thanks to Pat Kroll of Honorbright Labradors.

CH Dunn's Marsh Legend In Her Own Time TD, CD, RA, WC (Ali)
Ali, Nessie's daughter, is taking after her mother earning titles at both ends of her name and she isn't done yet!

Dunn's Marsh Encore Performance JH, RA, OA, NAJ, TD, WC (Cori)

Cori has 12 points in the conformation ring. She has looks, brains and a great work ethic. She earned 3 titles within one week in October of 2003 and is continuing on in all venues in 2006. She is just what we were looking for when we bred to CH Ingelnook Instigator (Dave) and we are enjoying her very much.

Dunn's Marsh All That Jazz, JH, WC (Jazz)

Jazz, Ali's daughter, is our third generation of performance Labradors. Her dad is CH Winnie's Block Buster MH. She has lots of drive in the field, is training in tracking and agility and loves to show. Jazz earned her Junior Hunter title on 7/17/05. Hopefully she will be going on to seniors. She is also starting to compete in agility -- blink and you'll miss her run!

Why do we compete with our dogs? Perhaps this poem can explain it a bit.
What Is A Title Really?

Not just a brag, not just a stepping stone to a higher Title, not just an adjunct to competitive scores.
A Title is a tribute to the dog that bears it, a way to honour the dog, an ultimate memorial. It will remain in the record and in the memory for about as long as anything in this world can remain. Few humans will do as well or better in that regard.
And though the dog himself doesn't know or care that his achievements have been noted, a Title says many things in the world of humans, where such things count.
A Title says your dog was intelligent, and adaptable, and good-natured.
It says that your dog loved you enough to do the things that please you, however crazy they may have sometimes seemed.
And a Title says that you loved your dog, that you loved to spend time with him because he was a good dog, and that you believed in him enough to give him yet another chance when he failed, and that in the end your faith was justified.
A Title proves that your dog inspired you to have the special relationship enjoyed by so few; that in a world of disposable creatures, this dog with a Title was greatly loved, and loved greatly in return.

And when that dear short life is over, the Title remains as a memorial of the finest kind, the best you can give to a deserving friend, volumes of praise in one small set of initials before or after the name.
A Title is nothing less than love and respect, given and received permanently.
